About Us

About Rebook Africa

Rebook Africa is an organisation committed to expanding learning opportunities for young people across Africa, irrespective of their socioeconomic backgrounds. Through well designed projects, we continually develop the human capacity of Africa’s most resourceful asset – the youth.

It is our belief that the development of our continent is linked to how many young people we can give quality education, equip with 21st century skills, and empower with the knowledge of sustainable development. One way we can achieve this is to continually expand learning opportunities most especially for young people who are marginalized by socioeconomic factors such as poverty, cultural barriers, access, etc.

Rebook Africa was started in February 2016 by Oluwaseun Kayode during his National Youth Service in Apata community in Ibadan area of Oyo State Nigera. He witnessed about 10-20 children share one book to read in a classroom, and he was moved to start a book recycling project to help these children access quality learning materials.

As time goes on, the project transformed into an organisation with volunteers and added projects. Rebook Africa has reached out to over 5,000 beneficiaries directly and indirectly through her value adding projects.

To continually create and expand learning opportunities for young people in Africa, not considering their socioeconomic backgrounds – through the design and execution of sustainable projects.

An Africa where every young people have equal access to qualitative learning opportunities, that will empower them to be active and responsible citizens, irrespective of their socioeconomic backgrounds.
