Our Human Capital in Africa is not fully utilized as we have failed to develop our most resourceful asset – the youth. Apart from the problem of unavailability of digital devices, most young people do not know how to use them productively. It is said that 8 out of 10 high school students in Africa haven’t typed on a computer before.
Digital Skills 4 Good Project is aimed at empowering young people with digital skills that will enable them to thrive in this current world that is driven by technology. On this project, we adopt communities and then stage bootcamps where we train young people on basic computer navigation and Microsoft Competencies. After which, some of these young ones are selected to proceed on a tech mentorship program where they will be empowered with either or both of web designing and graphics designing skills.
